Diet
I recently started cutting out dairy & eggs out of my diet for (personal) health reasons to see if it would help a certain issue I have. It has helped a lot even though I sometimes have those items in small amounts in baked items, frozen meals or out to eat. The easiest way for me to find recipes has been to search for vegan recipes but adding small amounts of poultry or meat when I want to.
I really miss eating hard boiled eggs & cottage cheese as protein snacks but really it has been an easier adjustment than I thought it would be.
Things that will be difficult to make vegan: Pie crust nevermind, realized it’s not too hard :)
Quiche
Actually, after some easy research, I realized it isn’t hard to make anything vegan. Well, any harder than it would’ve been originally. (ie: pie crust…I just can’t get it)
All I really need is earth balance products, and egg replacer and I should be good. Eventually I’d like to try using cashews to make “cream”, but just for fun, because I’d rather go without “cream” on a regular basis than have to make it.
I am going to try making my own almond milk (DIY Almond Milk) once I get rid of this terrible cold.
Next week I plan on baking my first vegan pumpkin pie for thanksgiving and hope it works!
